School Seal
The MACE
The MACE of CHRIST THE KING COLLEGE (CKC) is a ceremonial staff made of heavy wood graced by the CKC seal surrounded with laurel.
It symbolizes authority of the CKC President (which includes Scholarship or high level of Learning/Academic Excellence and Integrity since CKC is a Catholic Franciscan Educational Institution).
Aside from the engraved School Name, Founding Year which is 1905, and the seat of service which is Calbayog City, a Crowned CHI-RHO is at the center of the Mace. This represents CHRIST, the King of Universe – a constant reminder to all Christi Regians that CHRIST is the AXIS around which Instructional Programs and academic life of CKC must revolve.
The laurel has long been a symbol of victory, and in the Catholic Faith, laurel symbolizes Christ’s Resurrection, the greatest triumph of humanity.
