The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) is instated to be the central pillar of academic leadership and the bedrock of educational excellence of Christ the King College. Driven by profound commitment and dedication to quality-assured and relevant academic programs, and responsive curricula, the OVPAA plays a vital role in honing the academic landscape of CKC and ensuring the highest standards of teaching, research, and student development.

To persistently and actively partake in curricular reengineering, innovation, development and assessment, the OVPAA assures that the academic offerings of CKC remain current, relevant, and responsive to the evolving needs of students and society. This rigorous pursuit to academic distinction capacitates our graduates to excel in their chosen fields and contribute meaningfully to the global community.

The OVPAA is cognizant of the transformative power of diversity, equity, and inclusion in education. To cultivate these principles in education, enriches the educational experience, broadens perspectives, and prepares learners to navigate a diverse and interconnected world. In meeting this, the Office assures the rationalization of Academic Programs in order to broaden access to quality program offerings that also serves as a means to the promotion of program quality standards. It also works for the enhancement of Quality Assurance (QA) through Outcomes-based and Typology-based Quality Assurance that would carry a modernized CKC education.

As the core catalyst of these academic aspirations, the Office’s success rests on the fraternitas of CKC’s workforce and the divine providence of Christ; to whom the success of all these efforts condignly belongs to.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) of Christ the King College of Calbayog City, Inc. is the principal architect in the curricular reengineering, development and innovation to ensure quality-assured, relevant and responsive program offerings. Where, consultation, collaboration, listening, research, empathy and the aid of Christ the King as mainstream of the Office in putting all its efforts to fruition.

The OVPAA believes that to QuaRRel for is one the most concrete pedestals in reaching the pinnacle of its aspirations and in affording the institution its envisioned educational success. As defined, to quarrel is to contend or dispute actively and to find fault. Altercations and disputes are inevitable circumstances in an institution allowing situations to be assessed from the different vantage points with contention. With that, tiniest details are put to cogitation paving the way to identifying which and what had fall short to reconciling gaps and to be able to effectuate significant developments and improvements.
