The Samar Archaeological Museum at Christ the King college in Calbayog City, Inc., is the only archaeological museum in Eastern Visayas (Region VIII).it contains treasures from Samar’s past such as ancient burial jars, log coffins, Chinese porcelains, human skulls, bones, musical instrument, religious statues and pre-Hispanic weapons recovered from the three provinces of Samar Island by Fr. Cantius J. Kobak, OFM, known in the academic community as the “Historian of Samar.”
